Higher Education: The readiness of universities and institutes to start study in the new academic year 2023/2024

The Minister of Higher Education directs:

- The presence of faculty staff and teaching assistants on campus from the first day of study

- Providing all logistical needs that ensure the successful conduct of the educational process

- Speed and regularity in implementing study schedules

- The readiness of all university hospitals to provide distinguished medical service to students

- Implementing executive plans for cultural, artistic and sporting activities

- Increasing universities’ efforts to eradicate illiteracy in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education

- Organizing sporting, cultural and artistic events and activities for students and supporting gifted students

- Organizing field visits to major national projects implemented by the state in various sectors

Within the framework of the preparations of Egyptian universities and institutes to begin study in the new academic year 2023/2024, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, directed the rapid regularity of study and the successful conduct of the educational process.

The Minister of Higher Education directed the need for all universities to prepare for the start of the new academic year by providing all logistical needs that ensure the successful conduct of the educational process, as well as the readiness of auditoriums, classrooms, laboratories and university cities, and to ensure that all safety and security standards are followed in all university facilities. To ensure a safe learning environment for students.

Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed the commitment of faculty staff and teaching assistants to be present on campus from the first day of study, to ensure the regular and successful conduct of the educational process.

The Minister directed that schedules be announced quickly before the start of the new academic year. To ensure the regularity of study in all faculties and institutes.

The Minister also directed that all university hospitals must be prepared to provide distinguished medical service to students, in addition to continuing to provide health services to citizens.

The Minister pointed to the implementation of executive plans for cultural, artistic and sports activities. For its effective role in developing students’ skills in all fields, and developing students’ understanding of the contemporary challenges facing the nation.

He also pointed to increase the efforts of universities in eradicating illiteracy in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education. Activating the role of universities in serving society and developing the environment.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, media advisor and official spokesman for the Ministry, stated that the Minister of Higher Education also directed the holding of cultural seminars and workshops aimed at developing national awareness among students and combating abnormal concepts and ideas that are inconsistent with the tolerant religious beliefs and authentic societal legacies of the Egyptian people.

The official spokesman added that the Minister emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation between universities and the Ministry’s Gifted and Talented Center, to organize sporting, cultural and artistic events and activities for students, to support gifted students and discover them in the artistic, literary, scientific, technological and sports fields and to sponsor them, and to circulate specific programs to meet their needs and develop their abilities, and to enhance their affiliation towards... Their homeland.

The official spokesman added that the Minister also directed the organization of field visits to major national projects implemented by the state in various sectors so that students become familiar with the scale of projects being implemented in various parts of the Republic.
