The Governor of Cairo inaugurates the comprehensive development convoy launched by the Faculty of Girls today

Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, inaugurated the comprehensive medical development convoy, which was implemented by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Girls, at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Cairo Governorate, at the Andalus Health Care Center in Al-Marj district. This comes within the framework of the presidential initiative launched by His Excellency the President of the Republic, “A Decent Life” for the neediest areas.

This is under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Prof. Heba Barakat, Vice President of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

   
   

A number of university colleges participated in the Faculty of Girls to join forces and integrate efforts, namely the faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Education, and Archaeology. The convoy provided the people of Marj with medical and awareness services and support for families and orphaned children.

It is noteworthy that Al-Andalus Health Care Center in Al-Marj District won the Egypt Government Excellence Award in its second session, 2022, the Service Unit Award in the Health Offices category.

   
   

The governor was accompanied during his tour by Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Prof. Jihan Rajab, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Girls for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Shawqi, Director of the Health Affairs Directorate, Prof. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University, and a number of governorate leaders.

Abdel-Al praised the societal role played by the Faculty of Girls at Ain Shams University with the governorate’s executive bodies, especially in the field of raising the cultural level of citizens and participating in initiatives targeting the neediest areas. He stressed the role of civil society institutions in the participation of executive bodies in providing services that aim to improve the quality of life provided to citizens in these areas as part of the state’s endeavor to change their lives for the better.
