Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, opened the Activities of the Fifth International Conference for the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty, entitled “Future Research in the Age of Major Technological and Cultural Changes: Visions of Development in the Humanities, Social, and Educational Sciences”.
In her speech, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized the Faculty’s keenness to keep pace with global trends in scientific research. Perhaps international conferences are among the areas that most highlight new things in thought, research and culture.
Pointing out that the graduate studies sector at the faculty seeks to provide the opportunity for scientists, researchers and students to dialogue, communicate and exchange visions of modernization and development in various fields. Hence, the fifth international conference for the graduate studies and research sector was held as an arena for work and science over two days with the participation of an elite group of scientists and researchers to present their future vision for research in the age of major changes and technological revolution.
She added that 25 Egyptian and Arab universities are participating in the conference activities.
Prof. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research and rapporteur of the conference, explained that the conference included 8 scientific sessions, which were divided into three halls in the Faculty of Girls.
Each scientific session is chaired by an elite group of professors from the Faculty of Girls. The sessions discuss 40 research papers in various fields and themes of the conference, which include the humanities, social sciences, educational sciences, and literary and linguistic studies. The scientific sessions continue until five o’clock this evening.
The conference also includes 6 seminars and 14 workshops.
Prof. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean of the Faculty and Conference Rapporteur, confirmed that choosing the topic of the Fifth International Conference for the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Girls came to combine the information revolution and its innovations, which are led by the science of artificial intelligence and its applications, and the intellectual and cultural revolution represented by visions of development in education, social life, and human dealings. In order for this thought to crystallize and be applied, it was necessary to open the way to present new ideas for future research that carry the hopes of specialists in advancing the individual, society, and global existence amidst rapid and renewable changes.
The number of researchers participating in the conference reached more than 50 researchers, from Egyptian universities and universities in various Arab countries.
Prof. Hanan Al-Shaer indicated that the participating universities are from the sisterly Arab countries of Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and from the Egyptian universities, Cairo, Ain Shams, Aswan, Alexandria, Beni Suef, Minya, Fayoum, Zagazig, Canadian Al-Ahram, Al-Azhar University and Salman International University. In addition to a number of different institutes and bodies from Egypt and the Arab world.
