The Faculty of Specific Education, at Ain Shams University, conducted a development convoy to Bahia Foundation in Al-Haram, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Rasha Abdel Salam, Director of the Faculty’s Literacy Eradication Unit, with the participation of Prof. Dalia Hussein Fahmy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Asst. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Nabi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Technology, and Mr. Maher Salem, Faculty Secretary, and a group of faculty staff.
The activities of the convoy included distributing a large group of toys to children with sick families at the Bahia Foundation, and Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, assisted by Radwa Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Home Economics, held an awareness seminar on proper nutrition for patients of breast cancer.
The Department of Art Education also participated through: Prof. Ayman Ramzy, Dr. Nesma Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer. Israa Salah from the Department of Art Education presented a workshop on printing textiles using pre-made stencils. 70 T-shirts were printed and distributed to them after they were completed.
The Educational Media Department also participated, through Osama Adwar, Assistant Lecturer in the department, and Teaching Assistants. Ola and Radwa created a marionette puppet theater to modify some behaviors by presenting a purposeful play.
The Department of Music Education presented a diverse musical show led by Maestro Prof. Ahmed Salem, accompanied by Khaled El-Sherbiny, Assistant Lecturer, and some students from the Music Education Department, presented a wonderful collection of beautiful songs for hospital patients and children
