Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development, witnessed the closing activities of the iChallenge '23 competitions program, which is organized annually by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ASU-iHub), under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of the University.
In the presence of Prof. Heba Shaheen, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mass of Communication, Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, Director General of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Prof. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass of Communication for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Banna, supervisor of the iChallenge '23 program, unit officials in the university's faculties, and Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities, ASU-iClub.
Prof. Ghada Farouk expressed her happiness and pride in the ideas and projects of participating students from all university faculties, as well as participants from outside the university, as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center aims to present students’ ideas and inventions, apply them, evaluate them, and help them market them in an optimal way, which enhances their positive energy and motivates and motivates them to adopt their ideas. Young people are the rising future generation and their support represents support for the entire nation.
Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh welcomed the audience, praising the effort made by all the participating students, and stressed the importance of the center’s support for students, pointing out that the economy must be based on creativity and innovation in new products or new ideas and the role of the center is to guide students in this field. In addition to opening work fields for students during their studies and immediately after graduation, in addition to familiarity with experiences and skills that shape the personality of the student or graduate in a way that is compatible with the labor market.
And Prof. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, reviewed the activities of the Center, which was launched in June 2013 as a resource for students from all over Ain Shams University who are interested in the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, and designs extracurricular programs provided by iHub to help students think, innovate and build, it also provides the necessary support resources for students and graduates to grow their skills, ideas and projects at any stage of development and covers a wide range of disciplines.
It is worth noting that the iChallenge '23 program is a distinguished model of competitive programs offered to students in the early academic stages and is organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center on an annual basis. In addition to testing the mentality of students newly arriving in the faculty community, it offers a unique way to facilitate the student’s choice of the department he would like in the future, through a competition based on practical projects that emerge from continuous research with the aim of coming up with a product through which the student can compete with his peers from other teams. This gives the applicant a tremendous opportunity to learn through research, in addition to the presence of academic mentors throughout the duration of the competition to guide the students around one goal, which is innovation in all fields, by providing training courses that qualify them and develop their abilities in an organized scientific manner.
Vero Company participated in the events as one of the graduates of the virtual reality training program with the University of Berlin for virtual reality solutions in tourism and antiquities.
