Prof. Safaa Shehata, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education, at Ain Shams University and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, yesterday received a delegation from the British University of Exeter.
The delegation included Prof. Richard Follett FRHistS, Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), at the University of Exeter, Professor Alexandra Gerbasi, PVC for the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, Vice President of the University for Environmental Affairs, Science and Economics, Prof. Peter Clack, Head of Global Partnerships, Dr. Rasha Kamal, Egyptian Cultural Attaché, Head of the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in London, Egyptian Cultural Attaché and Head of the Egyptian Cultural Office in London, Mr. Mark Haward, Head of the British Council Egypt, and Mrs. Shaimaa Elbanna, Head of Scientific Programs at the British Council in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In the presence of the faculty deputies and a group of department heads and faculty professors, Prof. Safaa Shehata accompanied the delegation on a tour of the faculty, which included the faculty theater, which can accommodate more than 450 seats, showcasing the theater’s capabilities, as well as the student library equipped with the latest technology, and a number of the faculty’s modern and developed halls.
The faculty administration presented to the delegation an introductory video explaining the faculty’s financial and human capabilities, its advanced infrastructure and technology, as well as the efforts made by the faculty administration to develop programs and courses and advance the educational and research process.
During the tour, Her Excellency explained a number of international partnerships and protocols through which the faculty seeks to provide better educational and research services to its members. She also pointed out the capabilities of the faculty and its various distinguished units and centers that serve various groups and the proposed aspects of cooperation.
