Ain Shams University participated in the closing ceremony of the Hope Givers campaign, which was headed by international tennis player Captain Anwar Al-Kamouni, inside Misr University in 6th of October City.
Ain Shams University’s participation comes under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Dia, President of the University and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University, and this came in the presence and participation of Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the presence of several international and Egyptian artistic figures.
At the ceremony, Captain Anwar Al-Kamouni, Executive Director, presented the campaign shield to Ain Shams University because of its efforts in supporting the campaign during the previous period, where Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Postgraduate Studies and Research, received the shield on behalf of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University.
The concert was also attended by the Harmony Araby Choir of Ain Shams University and the international Italian composer and singer Federico Martello. Keira Chaplin, granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, model, designer, entrepreneur, actress, producer and singer; Manuel Colas de la Roche, President of the Better World Fund, since 2016 at the Venice Film Festival.
The artist, Safaa Abu Al-Saud, also participated in the ceremony and performed singing performances with the children.
It is noteworthy that the Hope Givers campaign is inspired by Anwar Al-Kamouni’s story of overcoming the impossible. He is the only athlete in the world who returned to the world rankings after suffering from bone marrow failure. He represents hope and is a role model for all cancer patients around the world. He is the founder of the international Givers campaign, which has achieved great successes through activities that It was held during the recent period for cancer and heart patients, people with special needs, and orphans in several countries around the world. The campaign attracted thousands of volunteers around the world to spread noble and purposeful values, namely helping others, which has reached 21 countries so far.
The campaign was founded on 5 main axes: cancer, special needs, sustainable development, sports, art and humanitarian projects. In addition, the “Ambassadors of Hope” campaign includes inspiring personalities (athletes, public figures, influencers, survivors).
