During the educational forum of imams and preachers... the President of Ain Shams University, scholars of the Ministry of Endowments represent the cornerstone and first line of defense in presenting the true religion

Within the framework of the cultural season of Ain Shams University and in implementation of the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Endowments and Ain Shams University, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the university organized an educational forum for imams and female preachers in Cairo entitled “Cultural Building for Imams and Female Preachers,” opened by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University. The meeting was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, a group of university professors and 150 imams and preachers from the Ministry of Endowments.

         
   
         

In his opening speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abedeen, President of the University, expressed his happiness in hosting the educational program for imams, male and female preachers, by hosting “150” male and female preachers from the imams of the Ministry of Endowments, which is considered a unique event dear to the university in light of the presence of a constellation and generous gathering of imams from the Egyptian pulpits of the Ministry of Endowments, who represent the cornerstone and line. The first defense is to present the true religion, confront intellectual extremism and terrorism, and consolidate moderate thought within society.

His Excellency stressed that the challenges the world is witnessing at the current stage require more effort to raise the awareness of young people at all levels so that they can confront these challenges armed with a great deal of awareness and knowledge.

He also appreciated the role of university institutions in spreading the culture of national, cultural, scientific and religious awareness, within the framework of close and extended cooperation between the university and various state institutions, especially the Ministry of Endowments.

   
   

Prof. Mohamed Diaa welcomed the joint cooperation through the preparation and implementation of a number of training courses for imams and preachers in various colleges of the university.

He appreciated the role of the religious preacher, male and female, as an energy of light and a lifeline to restore intellectual balance among young people and open more awareness and knowledge horizons to create a better future for our dear Egypt.

Prof. Ghada Farouk confirmed the role of the university in spreading awareness and culture by organizing various cultural seasons that provide university employees with a cultural meal in various religious, political, scientific and intellectual aspects to refine their personalities and arm them with science, thought and culture.

   
   

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Khaled Salah El-Din, Undersecretary of the Cairo Endowments Directorate, reviewed a number of the ministry’s new activities with the aim of raising the efficiency and awareness of female preachers, which come within the initiative of cultural building for imams, male and female preachers, and a number of training courses that imams receive to develop their various skills.

The meeting was moderated by the distinguished media personality, Mr. Khaled Saad, chief program presenter at the National Media Authority and member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

The meeting was coordinated by Prof. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the administrative supervision of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
