Ain Shams University hosted the G.mind team, which specializes in advanced educational curricula and educational games based on modern technologies, on Wednesday, December 13, in an applied workshop on the user experience of virtual reality, with the participation of students from the Faculty of Archeology.
Through VR glasses, and to spread the culture of using technology in the service of heritage and antiquities, the team presented modern games and technologies that included virtual visits to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the pyramids area, the Sphinx, and the Nefertari Tomb, with a virtual simulation of discovering the royal tomb.
It is noteworthy that the workshop was held on the university’s main campus in front of the Faculty of Science in conjunction with the 5 to 1 blood donation campaign under the patronage of Prof. Hossam Tantawi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Bassem Muhammad Sayed, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Dr. Menna Allah Tariq, Director of the Environmental Projects Unit.
