The Green Economy Project Conference launched today, Saturday, at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany (TU Berlin), funded by the German Agency for Cultural Exchange and the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in Germany. It will continue from 11:00 am until 5:00 am. 00 pm at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University.
This comes under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, Director General of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, Director of the Sustainability Center at Ain Shams University.
The green economy project is considered a continuation of the cooperation agreement concluded between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and the Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University of Berlin in what is known as the “Innovative Solutions for the Fourth Generation of Industry (ISI4Egypt)” project, which lasts 12 months.
The project aims to raise awareness and educate the future generation of employees, managers and specialists who can lead and implement the green transformation in Egypt, by providing students and graduates of Ain Shams University with green entrepreneurial thinking and the skills necessary to drive the transformation processes towards a green economy, as there has become a need for innovative thinking and new methods. And sustainable solutions, the program targets students, graduates and faculty members.
The conference activities include: -
1- Engage in fruitful discussions with industry experts and leading academics.
2- Get the opportunity to attend winter/summer schools in 2024 hosted by Ain Shams University and the Technical University of Berlin, which focus on honing innovation and entrepreneurship skills in the fourth generation of industry.
3- Access to educational content provided jointly by Ain Shams University and the Technical University of Berlin at Ain Shams University.
4- Qualifying for the final selection stage of the incubation program organized by Ain Shams State University and the Technical University of Berlin for startup companies participating in fourth generation industry applications.
5 - Two lucky winners will receive fully funded seats for the 2024 Summer School in Berlin.
