The Confucius Institute at Ain Shams University organized the “Recitation and Oral Expression Competition in the Chinese Language” in the conference hall at the Faculty of Al-Alsun on Sunday, December 17, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University and under the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, Director of the Institute and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun.
30 contestants from Chinese language departments at Egyptian universities participated in the competition, and the following won:
1- A special award was won by student/ Kirlos Nasser Saad, third year, at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University.
2- The first place award was won by the student/ Nadine Nabil, third year, at the Higher Institute of Languages, and the student/ Mohamed Hazem, second year, at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University.
3- The second place award was won by the student: Shaza Muhammad, second year, at the Faculty of Alsun, at Ain Shams University, the student: Youssef Abdel Hamid, third year, at the Faculty of Arts, at Alexandria University, and the student, Nouran Al-Sayyid, third year, at the Faculty of Alsun, at Ain Shams University.
4- The third place award was won by the student/Mohamed Ahmed, third year, at the Faculty of Alsun, at Ain Shams University, the student/Yara Sameh, third year, at the Faculty of Arts, at Alexandria University, the student/ Amira Al-Asili, third year, at the Faculty of Alsun, at Kafr El-Sheikh University, and the student/Maryam Ibrahim, at the Faculty of Alsun, Ain Shams University.
This competition comes within the framework of the agenda of scientific and cultural activities organized by the Confucius Institute throughout the year to prepare cadres of young Egyptians specialized in Chinese language and studies who will contribute to supporting the process of cooperation between Egypt and China in all areas of development.
