Dr. Heba Salah, Professor at the Faculty of Girls, received the Arab Union Award for Sustainable Development and the Environment

Prof. Heba Salah Mohamed Hamed, Professor of Fish Physiology at the Faculty of Girls for Arts, Sciences, and Education, at Ain Shams University, received the Arab Union Award for Sustainable Development and Environment, sponsored by the Arab Union for Voluntary Work, for her overall scientific production in the field of “environment and sustainable development.”

This came during the thirteenth international scientific conference of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment, which was held over two days, December 27-28, 2023, at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, under the title: “Mineral wealth in the Arab world - economic prospects and environmental challenges.”

   
   

The award aims to enrich Arab thought with the importance of preserving its natural and environmental resources and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals through the distinguished research outputs of Arab researchers in spreading environmental awareness and better advancing Arab society by developing sustainable solutions to the repercussions of pollution, lack of natural resources, and climate change.

It is worth noting that the leadership of Ain Shams University pays great attention to its scholars in various fields and works to continue encouraging them and providing all the capabilities to enable them to be creative in order to achieve the university’s mission of excellence and leadership.
