The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University organizes several awareness campaigns in ten educational administrations in Cairo.

Based on the pioneering community role of Ain Shams University and the university administration’s keenness to provide community service to all members of the external community and spread health, cultural and social awareness, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University organized several awareness campaigns in ten educational administrations in Cairo, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the general supervision of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community and Environment Affairs and Implementation of the Department of Planning and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

Where 36 awareness campaigns were presented in ten different educational departments, namely, Ain Shams Educational Administration, Al-Qubba Educational Gardens Administration, Heliopolis Educational Administration, Al-Waili Educational Administration, Al-Salam Educational Administration, Al-Zaytoun Educational Administration, New Cairo Educational Administration, and the Matareya Educational Administration. West Nasr City Educational Administration and Nozha Administration.

     
 
     
   
   

The awareness campaigns included a number of diverse fields, including the health field, which included awareness about proper nutrition, disease prevention, first aid, and awareness about the harms of smoking and addiction.

In the cultural and social field, the awareness included climate change, the importance of artificial intelligence, the problems of adolescence and what this stage requires, belonging, patriotism, methods of effective communication, the language of dialogue, the media and its impact on society, and controlling behaviors and emotions. Cultural awareness campaigns also included awareness entitled (Know Your Heritage).

In the field of skills development, workshops were held on developing innovative thinking and methods of good study among students.

These campaigns were presented by several professors from the Faculties of Education, Specific Education, Nursing, Mass Communication, Medicine, the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, Postgraduate Studies and Environmental Research, and the Faculty of Archeology, Arts and Girls.

It is worth noting that the Cairo Directorate of Education honored several faculty staff participating in the campaigns in appreciation of the efforts of the university and the community service and environmental development affairs sector.
