Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University, participated in interviews to select the recipients of a scholarship for 100 certified trainers from the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation of the Supreme Council of Universities, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General. Supreme Council of Universities; The National Center for Training and Leadership Development of the Supreme Council of Universities held several personal interviews and presentations within the framework of the grant for 100 certified trainers from the Supreme Council of Universities, which was launched by the National Center for Training and Leadership Development in the Council.
Its work was opened by Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawi, President of Benha University and Chairman of the Committee, with the participation of Prof. Mona Hagras, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, and under the supervision of Prof. Asst. Dr. Ashour Omari, Director of the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center at the Supreme Council of Universities, Acting Director of the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation, and Secretary of the Committee.
Personal interviews were held for the scholarship applicants by the members of the evaluation committees, who are the vice presidents of Egyptian universities.
The first scholarship to the National Center for Training and Leadership Development of the Supreme Council of Universities witnessed a great demand for it, as a group of faculty staff from various public universities across the country applied for personal interviews, including “Cairo University, Ain Shams, Mansoura, Zagazig, Alexandria, Beni Suef, Matrouh, Assiut, Helwan, Al-Azhar, Damietta, Banha, Aswan, South Valley, Fayoum, Menoufia, New Valley, Al-Arish, Port Said, Luxor, Kafr El-Sheikh”
It is worth noting that the National Center for Training and Leadership Development of the Supreme Council of Universities was launched in the last quarter of 2023 to activate and implement the vision of the political leadership and Egypt’s Vision 2030 about the importance of linking education and training with the requirements of the labor market and in response to the requirements of achieving the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, which was launched in March 2023.
The National Center for Training and Leadership Development at the Supreme Council of Universities is scheduled to continue to carry out its central role in implementing three main axes, which are licensing training centers nationwide and approving training packages, as well as accrediting trainers by the latest local and international standards and ensuring the quality of outputs that are consistent with the requirements of the new republic in raising the efficiency of the human element at all levels.
