The Faculty of Arts announces the results of the mid-term exams for the academic year 2023/2024 in the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels.

Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, announced that monitoring of the results of the first semester exams for the academic year 2023/2024 has been completed and that they will be uploaded today on the electronic platform UMS for e-learning, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University.

Prof. Hanan Kamel stated that the exams began on Saturday, December 23, 2023, and will end next Wednesday, January 24, 2024, with all departments working together to make the exam process a success.

The examination paper was also composed of three different types, which included essay and objective questions in varying proportions. The examinations were corrected electronically on the same day through the Measurement and Evaluation Unit to quickly announce the students’ results. The results will also be announced immediately on the official page of the college and on the student’s university email, and the Ain Shams electronic platform (UMS) for announcing the results of students of various colleges and their study systems so that students can view their grades and their position on skipping a grade or not without the need to go to the faculty headquarters.

Prof. Hanan Kamel praised the efforts made by those in charge of the education and student affairs sector, led by Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Sector, clearly demonstrated the success of the exams, which lasted for a month. She also praised the commitment of the professors, control members, observers, subject professors, and members of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit to hand over the tasks assigned to them before the required time and with the desired accuracy.

She also praised the student’s commitment to the instructions and warnings announced before the start of the exams, and violators and transgressors were referred for investigation. She stated that the departments in which the exam results will be announced today are the departments of Ancient European Civilization, Philosophical Studies, Geography and Geographic Information Systems, Hebrew Language and Literature, Archeology, Media, Tourist Guidance, Tourist Guidance (French), and Israeli Studies Program.

The Dean of the Faculty also stated that the results of the rest of the departments and programs will be announced tomorrow onwards, before the start of the mid-year vacation. As for the results of the departments of Libraries, Information, and Oriental Languages, they will be announced tomorrow, and as for the departments of History, Psychology, Sociology, and the English Language, the exams will continue until the end of the week.

Petitions will also be opened during the vacation, and academic advising registration will also be opened in the first week of the mid-year vacation.

She also confirmed that many student activities will be available during the mid-term vacation.

As for the graduate studies sector, the Dean of the Faculty announced that the results of the following departments will be announced tomorrow:

Department of Oriental Languages and Literatures, Department of English Language, Department of European Civilization, Department of Philosophical Studies. She also praised the remarkable effort made by those in charge of the sector, headed by Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Sector, committed to the tasks assigned to them with a high degree of precision and discipline.
