The President of Ain Shams University honors distinguished students at the festival concluding student activities for the first semester

In a dazzling festive atmosphere, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University, a festival concluding student activities for the first semester, which was held by the Education and Students Sector in cooperation with the University President Sector under the supervision and administrative coordination of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Mohamed El Gamal, Head of the Central Administration of the University President Sector, in the presence of a group of Deans and Vice Deans of university faculies.

The festival included artistic performances by the Oun Choir, led by Maestro Mahmoud Saber, and the Harmony Araby Choir, led by Maestro Mahmoud Wahid, where the choir bands performed a number of songs and medleys, which witnessed great interaction from the attendees, a folk arts show led by artist Hassan Shehata, and a plastic arts exhibition.

         
   
         

In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, was extremely happy with the overwhelming presence of the university’s youth and the artistic sense enjoyed by the attendees, which was evident through the interaction between them and the student artists, stressing that art is Egypt’s soft power in the country of the arts. His Excellency indicated his appreciation for the students who were keen to attend the festival, despite the exams.

He stressed the university's full support for distinguished students in all fields through the education and student sector, and its interest in providing all logistical capabilities and the appropriate environment to develop their abilities, which reflects the university's belief that science, education, and student activity are the basis for the advancement of society and work for its development.

Dr. Mohamed Diaa explained that the university includes a distinguished elite of distinguished students in various artistic, sports, cultural, scouts, and scientific fields, which was reflected in raising the name of Ain Shams University among the ranks of universities locally and internationally.

The University President also honored the students and faculties who won first places in the self-sufficiency theatrical acting competition for the academic year 2023-2024, and the Faculty of Arts came in first place for the theatrical performance “Someone’s Life,” written and directed by Mohamed Reda. The Faculty of Specific Education won second place for the theatrical performance “The Waste of the Cardboard Factory,” written by Muhammad Al-Suri and directed by Ephraim Kamel, and the third place went to the Faculty of Education for the theatrical performance “The Merchant of Venice” by William Shakespeare, directed by Youssef Muhammad. The student, Ilaria Mounir Hanna, won the Special Jury Prize for the makeup of the theatrical show “In the Middle of Autumn” at the Faculty of Girls, and Ahmed Adel received the Excellence Award in Performances and Movement Expression for the theatrical show “Somebody’s Life” at the Faculty of Arts.

Hadeer Atef, won the Best Costume Award, first place, for clothes for the theatrical show “Merchant of Venice “, At the Faculty of Education, Hanaa Al-Najdi, won the Best Costume Award, second place, for clothes for the theatrical show, “Saeed Human.” At the Faculty of Engineering, Nada Mohamed, won the Best Costume Award, third place, for clothes for the theatrical show, “Layali Al-Ans.” " at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences.

Sherif Ashraf won the Best Music Award “First Place” for the music of the theatrical show “Human Cartoon” At the Faculty of Specific Education, Hani Adel won the Best Music Award “Second Place” for the music of the theatrical show “Layali Al-Ans” at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ziad Ali won the Best Music Award “Third Place” About the music of the theatrical performance: “Trees die standing” at the Faculty of Al-Alsun.

Mahmoud Salah won the Best Decoration Award “First Place” for the decoration of the theatrical show “Trees Die Standing” at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Kyrillos Naji won the Best Decoration Award “Second Place” for the decoration of the theatrical show “Somebody’s Life” at the Faculty of Arts, Roman Girgis won the Best Decoration Award “Second Place " Repeatedly for the decor of the theatrical show "Disruption" at the Faculty of Law, Radwa Tariq won the Best Decoration Award "Third Place" for the decor of the theatrical show "Happy Human" at the Facylty of Engineering, Muhammad Fath Al-Bab won the Best Decoration Award "Third Place" Repeatedly for the decor of the theatrical show "Layali Al-Ans" " at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences.

Ibrahim Ashraf Muhammad, at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, won the Best Actor Award for a Second Role “First Place” for the theatrical show “Nights of Humans”, Moamen Walid Mamdouh, at the Faculty of Engineering, won the Best Actor Award for a Second Role “Second Place” for the theatrical show “Happy Human”, Hazem Muhammad Habib, at the Faculty of Medicine, won the Award for Best Actor in a Second Role “Third Place” for the theatrical performance “Under the Ruins”.

Mirna Youssef Mahrous received the award for Best Actress in a Second Role “First Place” for the theatrical show “Happy Human,” at the Faculty of Engineering, Ilaria Mounir Hanna, at the Faculty of Specific Education, won the Best Actress Award for a Second Role “Second Place” for the theatrical show “Human is a Cartoon,” Amira Muhammad Rashid, at the Faculty of Arts, won the Award for Best Actress, Second Role “Third Place” for the theatrical performance “Somebody’s Life”

Mahmoud Ezzat Abdel Shafi received the award for Best Actor in a First Role “First Place” for the theatrical performance “First Who Saw the Sun” at the Faculty of Business, Ahmed Fathi Mohamed for obtaining the Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role “Second Place” for the theatrical performance “Somebody’s Life” at the Faculty of Arts, Zakaria Nasser Hattour, at the Faculty of Business, won the Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role “Third Place” for the theatrical performance “The First Who Saw the Sun”

Maryam Tamer Medhat, at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, won the Best Actress Award for First Role “First Place” for the theatrical show “Trees Die Standing, Rawan Haitham Al-Sayyed, at the Faculty of Girls, won the Best Actress Award for First Role “Second Place” for the theatrical performance in the middle of autumn” Self-Sufficiency Competition for Theatrical Acting, Youssef Muhammad Youssef at the Faculty of Education, won the Best Director Award “Third Place” for the theatrical performance “The Merchant of Venice”

George Jeham William, at the Faculty of Engineering, won the Best Director Award, “First Place,” for the theatrical show “Happy Human.” Ephraim Kamel Malak, at the Faculty of Specific Education, won the Best Director Award, “Second Place,” for the theatrical show, “The Man is a Cartoon.”

His Excellency also honored the male and female students who won the Ideal Student Competition, and the Faculty of Engineering won the title of Ideal Student in first and second place. Student Nouran Hani Mustafa won first place, student Farah Essam won second place, and third place was won by student Nelly Ahmed Badr Ibrahim, at the Faculty of Mass Communications.

Regarding the Ideal Student, the Faculty of Engineering won first place for the student Abdul Rahman Mustafa Muhammad, the second place for the student Muhammad Atef, the third place went to the student Muhammad Al-Sayed Mahmoud at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the fourth and fifth places went to the students Omar Hisham and Ahmed Ihab Ahmed at the Faculty of Law.

The festival was organized to conclude student activities for the first semester under the executive supervision of the General Administration of Youth Welfare Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of the Department of Artistic Activity Sponsored by Youth, Maryam Khaled, President of the Ain Shams University Student Union, and Ziad Siddiq, Secretary of the Supreme Technical Committee of the Ain Shams University Student Union.
