The conclusion of the training courses for administrators of the Faculty of Arts

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein Al-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, under the supervision of Dr. Howaida Abdel Hamid, Director of the Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance Unit, Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Abdel Hafez, Assistant Professor in the Library and Information Department, the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, concluded the training courses that were held for the college administrators in the period from Sunday, 1/28/2024, until Thursday, 2/1/2024, which aims to develop the administrative structure and provide it with all the tools to keep up with the standards of quality, out of the belief of the Faculty of Arts administration in the huge and important role of the administrative structure and to motivate them to provide continuous performance always for the better, the latest courses were held on crisis and disaster management, because of their great importance, and they were held with the aim of developing the capabilities of administrators to deal with the situations. Emergencies and challenges related to security and safety.

The course was divided into two parts, the theoretical part, followed by the practical part, with all that includes introducing the audience to the concept of crisis and disaster management and its importance in maintaining the security and safety of society. The explanation was provided by Mr. Hesham Gumaa, Director of the Civil Defense Unit at the college, who also discussed fire prevention techniques and how to Deal with it if it occurs.

The course witnessed a high demand for attendance and participation from members of the administration at the Faculty of Arts, which contributed to enriching discussions and exchanging experiences and knowledge regarding crisis and disaster management.

This course comes within a series of training courses organized by the University’s Faculty of Arts with the aim of enhancing the capabilities of administrators and developing their administrative skills in facing various challenges. The Faculty intends to organize more courses in the same field in the future. With the aim of continuing to develop its preparations to deal with emergency situations effectively and keep pace with the latest technologies.
