The President of Ain Shams University and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine witness the first graduation ceremony of the international medical students, Class 2023, under the supervision of the university’s alumni associations.

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein Al-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay, Captain of the Physicians Syndicate, witnessed the first graduation ceremony for incoming medical students, Class 2023; In the presence of Prof. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Rania Salah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations at the University, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International students and Mobility Office at the University, and Prof. Naira Mustafa, Director of the International Students Office at the Faculty of Medicine.

In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abedeen, President of the University, graduates and their families, praising the role of the Faculty of Medicine in graduating distinguished scientific cadres. The university also plays a role in managing expatriates and the Alumni Association.

The President of Ain Shams University pointed out that opportunities in the medical field in Egypt are constantly increasing, stressing the university's keenness to receive all international students and integrate them with their peers in the university community.

Prof. Ali Al-Anwar thanked the parents who are reaping the fruits of their efforts and giving today, wishing everyone continued success in their professional lives. He pointed out that the college spares no effort to graduate graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies that enable them to keep pace with the requirements of the local and regional labor market. It also works to prepare the graduate for a changing society that requires... He responded positively, stressing that the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University opens its doors for them to train and enroll in postgraduate studies.

As explained by Prof. Ali Al-Anwar said that Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine is ranked among the first 200 colleges in the world, adding that we seek to reach the first 50 colleges in the world.

Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay took the oath of doctors to begin their professional lives after they pledged to God to adhere to professional ethics and repeated the doctor’s oath.

Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, congratulated the students and their families on the occasion of graduation and the completion of the study journey full of difficulties, in addition to their expatriation, and welcome to their second homeland, Egypt, and that they are considered among the best graduates at the level of local and international universities, due to the university administration’s insistence that its graduates be distinguished and different, and from now on they are ambassadors of Ain University. Shams in their country and invited them to continue communicating with the university through the university’s Alumni Association

Prof. Naira Mustafa, Director of the International Students Office at the Faculty of Medicine, gave a speech in which she explained the efforts of the International Students Office and its development to provide academic and non-academic support, scientific and recreational activities for international students and encouraged graduates to make an effort in their professional lives.

Prof. Ahmed Abu Halima, a professor of cardiology in the United States of America and a graduate of the college, spoke via video to encourage students based on his personal experience. He explained that the Ain Shams graduate is one of the strongest graduates and that they should be proud and stand with their heads held high because they are graduates of the prestigious Ain Shams University.

Dr. Michael Matiang, cultural attaché to the state of South Sudan and a graduate of Ain Shams University, delivered a congratulatory speech to the graduates, wishing to establish branches of the university in different countries, including South Sudan, to spread science and knowledge.

Representatives of the graduates also gave speeches expressing their thanks to their second country, Egypt, and their thanks to the college and faculty members for the education, knowledge, and experiences they provided to them, which shaped their personalities during their academic journey.

Then Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty, honored the graduates and handed over certificates to 215 male and female graduates from 17 diverse nationalities such as Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Malaysia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Somalia and Chad.

It is worth noting that the ceremony included some artistic performances of poetry and chants.
