The Integrated Urbanization and Sustainable Design Program (IUSD), Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, celebrated the graduation of the seventh batch of the program. The celebration was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Johansen Eid Chairman of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research and Chairman of the Program Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Toukhy, Former Vice President of the University and Isabel Meering, Director of the Office of the German Academic Exchange Service in Cairo.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, during his speech, praised the excellent scientific cooperation between the universities of Ain Shams and Stuttgart. He also stressed the importance of the support provided by DAAD as a key partner in the program.
Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, pointed out during his speech the importance of the Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design Program (IUSD) and the added window of the Faculty and the University of the distinctive window of international cooperation and outstanding education and stressed the continued support of the Faculty program and future activities.
In his speech, Mohamed Salheen, Program Director, Ain Shams University said that since the establishment of the Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design Program (IUSD) in 2010, a master's degree has been awarded to 120 students from 26 countries around the world such as Egypt, Germany, France, Canada, Tunisia, Sudan, Syria, Jordan, Palestine. Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Taiwan, Moldova, Ethiopia, etc.
The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 19 students who have obtained double master's degrees from the universities of Ain Shams or Stuttgart, or one of them, and on the occasion of the entry of the program in its tenth year, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini honored the faculty members and partners of the program who supported the program during its establishment and who contributed in its development its development, the ceremony also witnessed the distribution of certificates to graduates.
