As part of a series of weekly seminars held by the Facultyof Pharmacy during the academic year 2023/2024, the Facultyorganized a symposium on regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical legislation, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Management at the University.
Under the supervision of Prof. Maha Nasr, a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy and director of the Department of International Relations and Academic Cooperation at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr. Fathi Al-Azhari, Director of Products Registration at an international company, graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University in 2014 and holds a master’s in business administration from France presented the symposium.
The symposium included a definition of pharmaceutical legislation and the various stages of drug registration, registration requirements in Egypt, the Arab countries, England and the European Union, local, regional, and international legislation, and the advantages of working in this field.
He also gave advice to Faculty students on how to qualify to enter this field after graduation, how to join it, and the opportunities available to graduates in the labor market. The lecture was presented in the main discussion hall, in the presence of several faculty staff and Faculty students.
