Within the framework of the orientation of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, of the importance of awareness and continuous training for the administrative sector, and the necessity of strengthening cooperation between sectors to achieve excellence and leadership for the university in all its fields, with the aim of enhancing support for faculty staff and facilitating administrative procedures to encourage them to apply for prestigious scientific and academic awards, the awards office in cooperation with the electronic portal, headed by Prof. Rasha Ismail, held an awareness workshop on artistic and technical dealing skills with awards for the administrative sector at the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University.
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein Al-Abedeen, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, under the supervision of Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, in the presence of representatives of the administrative sector related to the awards and support to faculty staff in the field of applying for the awards.
During the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation between all departments to create a comprehensive database for faculty staff and supporting staff. The necessity of cooperating with faculty staff and facilitating procedures to enable faculty staff to apply for the offered awards was also emphasized, which requires data that must be available to the administrative sector and in cooperation with all administrative sectors of the college.
All emphasis was placed on the skill aspects related to computer skills in entering award data into the awards system on the university’s website and how to cooperate with faculty staff in facilitating data entry and uploading files when applying for awards.
At the end of the workshop, the following was recommended:
1- Providing means to facilitate communication and cooperation between the administrative sector and faculty staff to ensure accurate and effective data collection.
2- Developing an integrated and easy-to-use electronic system to collect faculty staff’ data related to nominations for awards.
3- Continuing to provide appropriate training to representatives of the administrative sector to use electronic means and manage the database effectively.
4- Enhancing awareness of the importance of completing all the data required to nominate for awards by faculty staff.
5- Providing continuous technical support to faculty staff in filling out forms and submitting data in accordance with the requirements for nomination for awards.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Director of the Awards Office thanked and appreciated the university administration for its continued support and provision of all types of training and support to all university employees. He also thanked the administration of the College of Arts for the valuable initiative in organizing this workshop and providing the opportunity to develop and improve the skills and expertise of members of the administrative sector in the field of awards.
