Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the closing of the largest event of the Egyptian Universities Championship, the 51st Martyr Al-Rifai Karate, was hosted over three days, March 4-6, in the presence of nearly 1,000 participants who represented 39 governmental, private, private, and technological universities.
The representatives of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities, as well as the Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Referees and the heads of university delegations praised the good organization of this sporting event by Ain Shams University.
This was achieved under the administrative supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Educational Affairs, and the executive supervision of Mr. Tarek Ahmed, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Mr. Mohamed Hassan, Director of the Sports Activity Department, Fatima Khalifa, and Mr. Alaa Shawki, Technical Administration, C. Abdul Rahim Kasim Abdel Rahim (kumite coach) and C. Malak Abu Al Khair Ibrahim, (kata coach).
The results were as follows:
The first place and the gold medal went to the student Shawky Ahmed Shawky, weighing +84 kg, in the male student kumite competition
The first place and the gold medal went to student Rahma Muhammad Ahmed, weighing 61 kg, in the female kumite competition
The second place and silver medal for female students (Sejood Akram, Marwa Ashraf, and Naira Amr) in the group kata competition
The second place and a silver medal for female students (Kenzi Ahmed Alamuddin, Suhaila Osama Mohamed, Suhaila Ahmed Fathi, Waad Tamer Saeed, Rahma Mohamed Ahmed, Yemeni Waheed Sultan, and Menna Allah Mohamed Ahmed) in the group kumite competition.
The second place and silver medal for students (Nour El-Din Hossam, Shawqi Ahmed, Ahmed Abdel Nasser, Mohamed Abdel Nasser, Mohamed Adel, Mr. Salah, and Tariq Mohamed) in the group kumite competition
The third place and a bronze medal went to the student Waad Tamer Saeed in the 61 kg kumite competition
The third place and bronze medal for students (Ahmed Khamis, Omar Muhammad Mahmoud, and Youssef Mustafa Kamel) in the individual kata competition
The Fifth place for student Mahmoud Ahmed Abdel Aziz in male student kumite competition - 84 kg
The sixth place for student Tarek Mohamed Ahmed in male student kumite competition - 84 kg
The fifth place for Youmna Waheed Sultan in the female 55k kumite competition
The fifth place for female students (Gehad Nabil and Naira Amr) in the individual kata competition
