Under the slogan “Creative Entrepreneur with a Difference,” the first training program activities began in the Innovation and Training Sector at Ain Shams University

The first activities of the training program for students with disabilities in the innovation and training sector were launched yesterday, as a continuation of a series of training programs at Ain Shams University, within the framework of the university’s interest in developing a strategic plan to support students with disabilities, integrate them with the surrounding world, and support them to achieve their ambitions and goals and qualify them for the labor market.

This is under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Nevin Assem, Head of the Innovation and Training Sector at the University, with the supervision and support of the Education and Student Affairs Sector and under the supervision of Professor Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.

The opening was attended by Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (ASU-iHub), and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the ASU Career Center.

With the participation of training officials, Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (ASU-iHub), and Dr. Hossam El-Din Attia, Mrs. Asmaa Hamad, Director of the Training Process for the Innovation and Training Sector, Mrs. Salma Samir, a creative entrepreneur track officer with a difference.

         
   
         

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, opened the activities of the training program for a number of male and female students with disabilities within the initiative of Ain Shams University under the title “A Comprehensive and Equal Student Community” and directing towards the necessity of effectively integrating them into various activities and implementing distinguished programs to train them in all fields in addition to qualifying them. To participate in all Ain Shams University activities, such as the employment forum, Ain Shams Innovates competitions, and others. In addition to creating a special path for them to present their ideas and projects, the university continues to support them to achieve the university’s strategic plan for people with special needs, which seeks to build a successful, ambitious generation that aims to integrate with the surrounding community without barriers, and includes a series of training programs for the comprehensive qualification of students in all psychological, social, and educational aspects. The integrated training program for integrating people with special needs into life and society includes a series of development programs that contribute to creating a social and psychological environment for people of determination that makes them participate in society as an effective citizen capable of fully integration. The series of training programs begins today with the “Creative Entrepreneur with a Difference” program, which is a specialized initiative. It aims to empower and provide young people with special needs with entrepreneurship skills and knowledge, as this program is designed to provide practical training and professional guidance to enhance entrepreneurship and enable participants to envision and pursue their own business projects or create meaningful job opportunities.

In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen emphasized the lofty goal of this initiative, which would integrate heroic students with special needs in all areas of life, not just in educational aspects, and from here comes the role of the “Innovation and Training Sector in cooperation with the Education and Student Sector.”

         
   
         

His Excellency pointed out the importance of students expressing themselves and their talents and keeping pace with their ideas and adapting them in a way that contributes to the success of the idea. Thus, achieving the goal that Ain Shams University aspires to, while continuing to support them until they reach students into successful leadership figures capable of optimal integration into society.

Prof. Nevin Assem explained in her speech that the aim of the program is to qualify students through a training program to study their own projects and support their ideas, as the programs begin by preparing them psychologically to receive information and the ability to express their opinions and present their ideas in an optimal way, in addition to providing participants with practical experience and exposure to professional environments, enhancing their confidence, skills and readiness for employment through summer training, in addition to qualifying them to create their own projects, in addition to providing them with support with companies to communicate and providing them with the opportunity to be employed in different companies and realistically integrate them with the outside world.

     
 
     

The first day included training students on the importance of communication skills in the field of work, which help in building relationships and assistance, and on the academic side, it helps in developing performance, and also helps in the growth and improvement of the field of work, and stimulates and develops communication skills.

In addition to providing the necessary support and developing skills for people with special needs to enable them to participate effectively in society and daily life and provide a supportive and comprehensive environment, the program also seeks to enable them to achieve self-realization and qualify for the labor market in order to contribute positively to society.

Among the activities of the training program, students give a presentation of their projects to evaluate them, choose the best projects, and qualify them for the Ain Shams Innovates Competition, to be a new beginning for them to complete their participation and integration into the university’s various activities.
