The President of the University and the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs inaugurated the “Future of Homeland” Sports Festival organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare and the Sports Committee of the University Students Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the auspices of the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Minister of Higher Education
Where Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini pointed out the importance of exercising daily for the health of the human body in addition to its role in facilitating the process of assimilating information and recalling.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, said that the university administration is very interested in the students, pointing to the development that included the university cities and stadiums. He stressed that there are still many aspects of development for our students in the areas of health care, university cities as well as various student activities, adding that the practice of various student activities besides science help build an integrated personality.
Prof. Dr. Hesham Al-Gyoushi, Secretary General of the Sports Federation of Universities confirmed that the Ministry of Sports supports all sports activities in universities, stressing the excellence of Ain Shams University in various sports.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abed Rabbo, Director General of the Central Department for Sports Development Programs, explained that the Ministry of Sports is keen to organize various sports meetings at the level of Egyptian universities in order to expand the base of student practice as well as discovering the talents of sports that are rich in our universities.
The festival includes football, volleyball, ping-pong and table tennis games for male and female students in the indoor hall, pentagon and fitness hall at the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
