Within the “100 Million Trees” presidential initiative, which encourages planting trees and protecting the environment with the “Plant a Tree” initiative, and coinciding with the celebration of World Earth Day on April 22, the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University planted 4 trees on the Faculty’s farm in the Al-Bustan area and on the Imam Malik farm in Nubariya, in addition to the Faculty nursery.
Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Thanaa Al-Noubi Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University, in the presence of Dr. Naglaa Obaid, Director of the New Programs Department, Dr. Nima Qutb, General Coordinator of the University UMS, Dr. Amr Massad, Director of the Center for Agricultural Studies and Consultations, Engineer Awad Desouky, Director General of the Faculty, Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Director of the Department of Special Units at the Faculty, Mrs. Therese Bsada, Director of the Environmental Affairs Department, Mr. Muhammad Al-Kurdi, Director of the Library Administration and Responsible for the Media Center, and Ahmed Nour, Engineer in the desert farms of the Faculty.
This is within the framework of the efforts of the Faculty of Agriculture and Ain Shams University to enhance environmental awareness, preserve and protect the environment. It represents a strong commitment to improving the university environment and making it more sustainable and beautiful, and this initiative embodies the university’s commitment to protecting the environment and promoting environmental awareness among members of the university community.
