Within the framework of Ain Shams University’s keenness to consolidate its role as one of the cultural tributaries in society, and not just a place for science, research and study, Ain Shams University is preparing for the activities of the International Cultural Day this year under the slogan “Peace”, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, under the supervision of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, and Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of International Students and Mobility Office, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, on the main campus and organized by the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, Ain Shams University Student Union, and “Students for Egypt Central Family”.


This year, 40 countries, including Arab, African, European, Asian, and several South American countries, participate in the celebration. The activities include a flag parade that represents the nationalities of the international students, exhibitions of the participating countries organized by the international students, and artistic performances for different communities. The participating countries this year are Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait. Libya, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, UAE, Yemen, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, Comoros, Eritrea, Djibouti, Chad, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, China, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Bolivia, Panama, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Paraguay.
It is worth noting that the number of international students at Ain Shams University exceeds 10,000 students from 80 different nationalities.
