The Future prospects for the role of renewable materials in sustainable development... A lecture at the Faculty of Engineering

The Conferences Committee at the Faculty of Engineering organized a lecture entitled: “Future Prospects for the Role of Renewable Materials in Sustainable Development,” delivered by Professor Dr. Hamed El-Mously, Emeritus Professor in the Department of Design and Production Engineering at the College. The lecture addressed Egypt’s relative advantages in the availability of renewable materials resulting from agriculture that can be recycled to create an industrial revolution. Technology in Egypt starts from the countryside, clarifying the economic value of renewable materials recycled locally to establish industrial projects in the countryside and urban areas to meet human needs locally, nationally, and globally, in addition to the environmental value, which will limit climate changes resulting from the use of non-renewable materials. During the lecture, some initial models of locally made products based on the use of some of these renewable materials were presented.
