The first cosmetics exhibition at the Faculty of Pharmacy

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, held the first cosmetics exhibition under the title Cosmetics and Cosmeceutical Exhibition, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Amani Osama, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Rehab Othman, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

         
   
         
         
   
         

This is based on the importance of the practical application of the academic aspect that students learn during the study programs, and within the framework of the Cosmetics and Beauty Therapy course that is studied by fifth-level students (Pharm D Program), which gives the graduate the skills required to work in the manufacture and marketing of cosmetics, including the technology of manufacturing cosmetics. Cosmetics, such as skin and hair care products, cosmetics, hand and foot care products, etc., in addition to the packaging of cosmetics, packaging techniques and materials used in the manufacture of cosmetics, and additives used in cosmetics such as scented oils and extracts of aromatic plants, quality control of cosmetics, as well as good practice in the field of manufacturing. Cosmetics, and also the side effects of using cosmetics, such as skin irritation, how to treat these harmful effects, and how to avoid them.

The exhibition was held under the supervision of Prof. Rania Hathout, Head of the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Industrial Pharmacy, and organized and coordinated by Dr. Eman Al-Marakbi, lectturer of pharmaceuticals and industrial pharmacy, Dr. Doaa Shakshak, course coordinator and teacher of pharmaceuticals and industrial pharmacy, and Dr. Dina Omar, teacher of pharmaceuticals and industrial pharmacy.

The students presented 34 projects for an integrated cosmetic product, cash prizes were presented to the winners, and internal training was provided to 20 students provided by a famous pharmaceutical company.
