A delegation from the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development and the German Agency for International Cooperation visited the Service Center for Students with Disabilities

Within the framework of the interest of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and through the role of the education and student sector in supporting students with Special Needs at the university, which comes from the vision of the Egyptian state and its development plan 2030, as Egypt is considered one of the most important countries that is praised in social work in general, especially in the field of care and rehabilitation of people with Special Needs, within the framework of the e-government support and innovation project at the General Directorate of Cooperation, which will be implemented between the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development and the German International Cooperation Agency on behalf of the German government and in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, Prof. Rana Al-Hilali, Director of the Center for People with Special Needs at the University, received a delegation from the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development and the German Agency for International Cooperation, on a visit to the Service Center for Students with Special Needs to learn about the various services provided by the center to support people with Special Needs in order to develop digital skills and help them enter the labor market and the steps of digital transformation. To serve students with Special Needs, under the administrative supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs.

   
   

It is worth noting that the issue of people with Special Needs represents great importance in the development direction of the Egyptian state, as this group is at the forefront of the determinants of development programs and plans in Egypt, and they are a large segment of Egyptian society, as the state views people with Special Needs as a major part of the work force and an important component of human capital, which society enjoys and the state seeks to maximize its benefit within the framework of the broader trend of investing in people.

The delegation visited the Rafiq al-Darb Library at the Faculty of Al-Alsun and the Sight Center inside the Faculty of Arts to identify the basic needs of the students in line with the mechanisms for integrating them and developing their skills.
