Ain Shams University organized a workshop on the new government documents system, during which it hosted the team of Secured and Smart Documents Complex, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain Al-Abedeen, President of the University, in the presence of Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Prof. Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Reham Al-Otaifi, Director General of the General Administration for Education and Student Affairs at the University, along with the UMS team at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, IT representatives in the faculties, and the team responsible for issuing certificates in the General Administration for Education and Student Affairs and the General Administration for Postgraduate Studies at the University.
The workshop discussed mechanisms for increasing joint cooperation between Ain Shams University and the Smart Secure Documents Complex on Ain Sokhna Road, and during the meeting, Prof. Nagwa Badr, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, reviewed the university’s position on digital transformation and the form of the user interface for the university’s digital management system.
The Dean of the Faculty of Computer also explained the modern technologies used in the university’s automation system and presented a diagram of the university’s departments on the electronic platform and the components of the faculties’ databases and how to secure them through the university’s cybersecurity team, which is responsible for protecting the network infrastructure.
Prof. Nagwa Badr said that the network and server system is now being developed to keep pace with the large and rapid increase in the number of students and graduates and to provide more quality and professional services.
She explained to the audience the extent of the services available in the digital system of Ain Shams University and the services it provides to the student and graduate. She explained how students or graduates can obtain a certificate through the university’s electronic system, whether through their own account or without an account, with the presence of a Qr code to verify the validity of the data contained in the certificate.
Members of the Smart Secure Documents Complex team proposed ways of joint cooperation between the university and the complex through a linking mechanism between the complex’s platform and the university’s UMS platform in order to print, secure and update the system for issuing certificates in their various forms and transferring them after printing them, whether to the university or delivering them to the student or graduate.
The team presented methods for operating the biometric data center and determined the specifications of student data and images required to be made available through the biometric center.
At the conclusion of the workshop, dialogue was opened regarding the new certification system.
After the meeting, the Smart Secure Issues Complex team visited the biometric data center to view it in its final form, accompanied by Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Students, and Assistant Secretary of the University for Postgraduate Studies.
