Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen concluded the Innovation and Training Sector Initiative “A comprehensive and Equal Student Community” to qualify students with disabilities for the labor market, within the framework of Ain Shams University’s interest in supporting students with disabilities and qualifying them for the labor market, which comes from the Egyptian state’s vision and development plan 2030.

The initiative’s students with special needs presented an art exhibition that included their creativity and innovations, which was received by The President of the University and the gentlemen in attendance, and discussions took place between Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen and the students about their artistic and technological talents, giving them some advice. He also listened to their suggestions and requests to develop the initiative. They also presented a singing artistic performance that was well received by everyone.

During his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, thanked all those who contributed to the success of the initiative and praised their efforts from the three centers that make up the innovation and training sector.

He stressed the importance of such initiatives, which reflect the university's vision and directions towards making the future of people of determination a better future. His Excellency also pointed out the importance of receiving feedback from trainees to evaluate the positive and negative aspects - if any - of evaluating the training and working to develop it.

His Eminence also praised the students’ skills, stressing that they possess many positive energies that need to be unleashed and expressed with a vision worthy of appreciation and praise.

Prof. Neven Assem, CEO of the Innovation and Training Sector, said that the initiative represented a great challenge, and despite the short period of time, an integrated and continuous program was prepared to support students, extending even after their graduation. She extended his thanks to Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and to the deans and deans of the colleges for their response and support to the initiative.

Her Excellency added that the sector is in the process of holding a summer camp that will include many activities and competitions during the middle of next July.

Benefits will be provided to the winners through the Employment and Innovation Centers, as the camp combines the educational and entertainment aspect.

For his part, Mr. Ibrahim Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, stressed the sector’s interest in providing all logistical capabilities to serve students of determination, adding that time will be allocated from the gym to receive them to practice sports.

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, distributed certificates of appreciation to the talented students in recognition of their efforts and excellence.

It is worth noting that the Innovation and Training Sector initiative, “A comprehensive and Equal Student Community,” aims to enable people with disabilities at the university to overcome obstacles, acquire valuable skills, and succeed in the labor market. Through customized training programs, competitions, collaborative initiatives and partnerships we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable future where individuals with disabilities are valued, included in the university community, and empowered to achieve their full potential in the labor market.

The closing of the initiative was attended by a group of deans, vice deans of faculties, directors of the Career Center, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and a number of student volunteers to help implement the initiative.‎
