Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, the activities of the twelfth scientific conference of Ain Shams University under the title " Partnerships and Alliances" over Thursday and Friday, 30-31 May 2024 at Triumph Hotel, Fifth Settlement.

On the first day of the conference Thursday, May 30, (from 9.00 to 10.30 am), a special session for international partnerships in the field of studying languages ​​and translation organized by the Faculty of Al -Alsun, will be held. A number of strategic allies of the faculty will participate in this session, with alliance and cooperation relations in the academic, research and training field, in the forefront of them: the British Council that is cooperating with the faculty closely during the last three years in organizing and holding IELTS exams at the Faculty of Al -Alsun in addition to organizing ICT exams for international schools IG, where Dr. Mohamed Mansour, Director of the Business Development and Examinations Sector in the British Council, will also participate, the Japan Foundation, which is linked to the Faculty of Al -Alsun, will also participate in close cooperation relations, which resulted in the Japanese International Language Examination of the Faculty of Al -Alsun over the years, in addition to many activities and events supporting the Japanese Language Department, where Mrs. Ayumi hashimoto, director of the Foundation in Cairo, will participate in this session.

The United Nations Translation Department, with which the faculty cooperates, will also participate in organizing training programs for students of simultaneous translation and editorial translation in organizing many seminars, workshops and scientific and cultural events, where, Professor/ Mary Harbi (Ms. Mériem Harbi), coordinator of the Memorandum of Understanding from the UN side, and from the Korean side, Mr. Oh Jong, a Korean language expert in the faculty, who will give a speech on cooperation and partnerships for the Korean Language Department, will participate in the session. Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice -Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, will moderate the session.

This session will be followed by the opening session of the conference, during which important agreements will be signed for the Faculty of Al-Alsun, in the presence of the Professor, President of the University, and the guests of the conference, and with the participation of the ambassadors of Spain, South Korea, and Japan, in addition to the Director of the British Council in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This celebration will witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding regarding the recruitment of a visiting professor to the Spanish Language Department at the faculty and the renewal of cooperation with the British Council in holding the IELTS and ICT exams.
