The first day of the activities of the twelfth conference of Ain Shams University witnessed the holding of a session entitled: “Partnerships with Manufacturing Entities.” The Faculties of Engineering, Science, Computers and Information participated in the session.
The session was moderated by Prof. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hala Mushir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Wael Samir Al-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
The session discussed the partnerships concluded with the three colleges and with various manufacturing bodies and companies. Videos were shown about the “Le Pen Workshop,” which is a model of Egyptian-Chinese partnership, where Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, who supervises the workshop at the university, reviewed the signed protocol for its establishment.
He explained that the workshop works to develop technical and professional talents, advance cooperation between Chinese colleges and universities, educational institutions and industrial companies, governments and other foreign powers, and embark on the development path of joint construction.
A recorded speech was also presented by Professor Dr. Li Yunmei, President of the Tianjin Technical College of Light Industry, and Prof. Yu Haxiang, President of the Tianjin Technical College of Transport, in order to review the aspects of cooperation and partnership between the authorities and the university in the manufacturing fields.
Dr. Mona Abdel Azim, Director of the Graduate Unit at the College of Computers and Information, also presented the college’s integration with software companies and reviewed the college’s vision in this regard and the role of the Huawei Academy in training students at the college.
Student Abdel Rahman at the Faculty of Computers and Information, and Huawei’s annual ambassador for this year, presented the history of the joint protocol contract that brought together Egyptian universities and Huawei and the establishment of the Huawei Academy.
The session was also hosted by Mr. Waled Amin Helal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Helal and Golden Star Company, Mr. Omar Waled Hilal, CEO of the company, where Mr. Omar Helal reviewed the protocol concluded between the central laboratories of the Faculty of Science and the company to manufacture and develop a brand of anti-bacterial cleaning tools under a new brand called “Nova”.
