The administration of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, congratulate Dr. Rahma Tolba, for winning second place in the Euro Mediterranean Innovation Camp EMIC (Euro Mediterranean Innovation Camp), which was held at EMUNI University in Slovenia.
Ain Shams University’s participation in the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Camp comes under the supervision of Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Hala Al-Mushir, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, the faculty’s supervising professors, Dr. Radwa Reda, Director of the Innovation Unit at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University (ASU-iHub).
The university extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Rahma on this great achievement, which reflects the excellence and creativity of Egyptian universities.
Also, Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, congratulated the researcher for this achievement by winning the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Camp, an annual competition affiliated with the European Union, which aims to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean region by encouraging students and researchers to develop innovative solutions to social, economic and environmental challenges.
In this session, researcher Rahma Tolba from Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, participated with an innovative solution which is "an Intersctive Augmented Reality system for lisp therapy" using AI technology intelligence. This innovative solution is based on her doctoral research "Interactive Augmented Reality for Education Enhancement" conducted at the CS department of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University in Cairo, EgyptThis achievement reflects the efforts made in the field of research and innovative development by students of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, and the distinguished efforts of researchers in using modern technologies to address important social challenges.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University (ASU-iHub) also congratulated Dr. Rahma Tolba on this achievement as the beginning of a journey full of successes and creativity, to encourage all students, researchers and faculty staff to continue striving towards excellence and innovation, the center also paid tribute to all the brilliant Egyptian minds who participated and demonstrated the best of Egyptian innovation on the international scene.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Rahma Tolba’s participation is the result of the research development of one of the research outputs that was developed and adopted through the activities of the Innovative Solutions Project in the Fourth Generation of Industry (ISI4E), in cooperation with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and the Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University of Berlin, which is funded by the German Agency for Cultural Exchange. DAAD, where the researcher participated with a research poster in the competition held on the sidelines of the inaugural conference of the project, and the researcher obtained a seat to attend the summer training camp in Germany 2023.
