Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, opened the door for admission to the faculty’s postgraduate programs for the academic year 2024/2025, starting from 8/1/2024 to 8/31/2024, under the sponsorship of Prof. Mohaned Dia, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research.

She explained that admission will be opened for several diplomas, including the Postgraduate Diploma in Language, Literature, and Translation, the Diploma in Translation and Interpretation, the Diploma in Translation Technology in the English, French, and Chinese Language Departments, and the Doctorate of Al-Alsun in the Language, Literature, and Translation specializations. Admission exams are scheduled to be held during the period from 8 to September 11, 2024.

Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, said that the Translation Technology Program is one of the innovative and distinguished programs, and it keeps pace with the requirements of the labor market and familiarity with modern technology related to translation activities. It is one of the programs that finds significant demand among students.

He added that applying for postgraduate programs is electronic through the UMS system, where the student registers his data and uploads all required certificates and documents to the link.

The graduate studies department then examines these documents, reviews the data, and responds to the applicant by accepting the application when all conditions are met.

Written entrance exams for students applying for the diploma and doctoral levels are scheduled to be held from September 8 to September 11, and oral exams will be held on September 17.
