Ain Shams University continues its progress in the international rankings, as the Dutch Leiden classification announced the results of its new edition for this year 2024, which showed Ain Shams University ranked (528) globally, ahead of the previous ranking in which the university ranked (537) globally.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, confirmed that the university will continue to work hard to maintain this momentum and achieve further progress in future global rankings.
The CWTS Leiden classification relies on four indicators: The impact of research included in the Web of Science database, research collaboration, the number of published open access research, and the diversity of researchers between females and males, this classification uses a set of bibliometric indicators that provide statistics on the level of universities for the four indicators included in the measurement methodology in this classification. The Dutch Leiden Classification for the year 2024 included more than 1,500 universities from various countries of the world.
