Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, received in his office, the university’s students’ theatrical acting team, which won first place in the world at the International Festival of University Theater in Casablanca in its 36th session in the Kingdom of Morocco, with the theatrical show Negative Zero, written by Mustafa Talaat, with an idea and direction by Islam Khaled.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa expressed his pride in raising the Egyptian flag at the hands of the heroes of Ain Shams University, and congratulated them on their dedication and sincerity in presenting their talent to the fullest, which makes them an example to follow for their fellow students. He pointed out that they have distinguished skills and talents that qualify them for professionalism.
In support and encouragement for the students, the University President announced today that the play will be re-presented on the university theater for all students and members of the university community to enjoy. During his congratulations to the winning students, he stressed the university’s constant keenness to do its utmost to support its students, develop their talents, and reap the fruits of success thanks to wise management and a distinguished and cooperative work team, and providing them with all means of comfort and support. This is under the general supervision of Professor Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs. His Excellency urged the students and encouraged them to excel academically in addition to developing their talents.
A delegation from the university received the arrival of the winning students at Cairo Airport yesterday, Sunday, at eight in the evening, and they were received with open arms in appreciation of the efforts they made in raising the name of the university and the name of Egypt high.
It is worth noting that the students of the winning team will be honored during the Student Activities Festival, which is organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector at the end-of-school year festival.
The theatrical performance, Negative Zero, won the grand prize, crowning the university’s acting team, and the university took first place in the world. The university won the award for best scenography for Muhammad Zaki, and the award for best male acting, shared equally between the student Muhammad Tawfiq and the student Shaher Abdel Qader.
The preparation and implementation of the theatrical show “Negative Zero” was carried out under the supervision of Ms. Asmaa Ali Khater, Director General of the General Administration for Youth Welfare, Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of the Artistic Activity Department, and Mr. Ahmed Adel, the Artistic Activity Supervisor.
