The conclusion of the qualifying programming competition at the Faculty of Engineering

The Qualifying Programming Competition concluded with the participation of 39 teams from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University and organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Engineering, headed by Dr. Maged Ghanima, where each team (consisting of three members) was asked to write solutions / codes for a range of challenges (ranging from 10 to 13) using a single computer shared by all team members.

After five hours of competition, nine teams qualified to represent the Faculty of Engineering in the Collegiate Egyptian - ECPC Contest Programming Competition, which will be held on 25 and 26 October with the participation of teams from different Egyptian universities.

The ECPC Competition is the second phase where the best teams qualify to represent Egypt in the Arab Programming Collegiate Competition. Teams from world renowned universities and participation in this competition add skills and expertise necessary to strengthen the capabilities of students and qualify them to get jobs in the most famous international companies.

It is worth mentioning that this is the third consecutive year in which the Faculty of Engineering is able to host a qualifying competition for participating teams, where 13 teams participated in the first year and 27 teams in the second year.

The Faculty of Engineering was able to qualify for the Arab competition ACPC during the last five copies and “Forty-Two” team succeeded in qualifying for the ICPC World Competition in 2014, and the teams represented by the Faculty of Engineering were close to qualify for the ICPC World Competition twice, where Forty-Two Rises ranked tenth in 2015 knowing that the number of teams Qualifying was 9 teams and “The Horse Dark” team finished 13th place in 2017, one place behind the qualifying teams.
