The Faculty of Pharmacy, at Ain Shams University, launched yesterday the comprehensive medical convoy for the residents of Ain Shams East district at the Martyr Adel Natig Fahmy School - formerly Al-Zahraa, which will continue for 5 consecutive days from August 4 to August 8, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Rola Milad Labib, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, at Cairo Governorate, Ain Shams District Presidency, and Ain Shams Educational Administration at the Martyr Adel Natig Fahmy School - formerly Al-Zahraa.
This is based on Ain Shams University's developmental role towards society, and within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030, where the state cares about the health of the citizen and works to alleviate the burden of living on the citizen, in addition to the health problems that some citizens suffer from.
The convoy includes medical clinics for all specialties, as well as dentistry, in addition to measuring blood pressure and diabetes for patients, in addition to a charitable pharmacy to provide free medicines.
In addition to awareness seminars for the neighborhood residents in the field of women's and family health as well as pediatrics, lectures are also given to children on ways to prevent diseases and personal hygiene, lectured by a number of faculty staff, teaching assistants and some undergraduate students.
