Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Mohsen El-Naamani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Life Makers Foundation, signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation between the Foundation and the ASU Career Center affiliated with the Innovation and Training Sector at the University in the fields of job qualification, employment and training to support youth readiness for the labor market, through the integration and integration between the UP-SKILL initiative adopted by Ain Shams University, and the Ready for Tomorrow project implemented by the Life Makers Foundation Egypt.
It is worth noting that the UP-SKILL initiative aims to develop the skills of 1,500 students and graduates from Ain Shams University during the period from July to September each year to support the readiness of youth to join the labor market. The Ready for Tomorrow project also aims to build the capacities of young Egyptian men and women and integrate them into economic life through life skills, employment skills and entrepreneurship programs.
Areas of cooperation include communicating with target groups of students and graduates and raising awareness about training programs, managing the implementation of training programs implemented within the university, and cooperating in implementing various training, employment and professional activities for various beneficiaries of joint programs.
In addition to ensuring the quality of implementation and content of training programs, commitment to implementing the registration, follow-up and evaluation tools of the Ready for Tomorrow program, as well as providing equipped training halls that contribute to implementing the UP-SKILL and Ready for Tomorrow programs, training programs and various events, implementing a number of employment days and events for participants in the training programs subject to cooperation, and providing a number of companies to participate in those events and employ graduates.
In addition to implementing career guidance and counseling sessions for participants in the training program and other topics that contribute to increasing the life and technical skills of students and graduates.
The signing ceremony was attended from Ain Shams University by Prof. Nevin Assem, CEO of the Innovation and Training Sector, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the ASU Career Center, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International Students and Mobility Office.
