The harvest of convoy of the Faculty of Pharmacy, in the Ain Shams district East

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, concluded the activities of the comprehensive medical convoy at the Martyr Adel Natig Fahmy School - formerly Al-Zahraa - in Ain Shams district East, which was organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing during the period from August 4 to August 8 and continued for 5 consecutive days.

This was under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Roula Milad Labib, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in cooperation with Cairo Governorate and Ain Shams Education Administration in Ain Shams district East.

         
   
         

Where examination, diagnosis, analysis and awareness were conducted for all age groups and free treatment was distributed to all patients with 2400 examinations and treatment prescriptions, 800 analyses, and awareness of 9500 people according to the convoy statistics, thus the number of beneficiaries reached 15100 citizens.

The convoy included a number of different specialties in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, and the Faculty of Nursing, in addition to measuring blood pressure and diabetes for patients, along with laboratories for taking and analyzing samples and a charitable pharmacy to provide free medicines.

In addition to awareness seminars for the district residents in the field of women's and family health as well as pediatrics, lectures were also given to children on ways to prevent diseases and personal hygiene, in which a number of faculty staff, teaching assistants and some undergraduate students lectured.
