Prof. Thanaa El-Nubi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Eng. Abdullah bin Ismail Saleh Ismail signed a joint cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, and Nawa Trading Corporation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research.
The protocol aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of advisory services, exchange of expertise and scientific research in the agricultural sector, in addition to achieving Arab agricultural integration and enhancing food security in the region, and contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and Egypt's Sustainable Development Strategy 2030.
The protocol includes the exchange of expertise in advisory services and strategic agricultural research, benefiting from academic competencies in developing agricultural projects, in addition to developing innovative solutions in the fields of sustainable agriculture and water resources management, and enhancing research cooperation to address agricultural challenges in the Arab region.
The signing of the protocol was attended by Eng. Mohammed bin Ismail bin Saleh, representative of the Saudi Nawa Trading Corporation, Dr. Ahmed Ismail, the academic coordinator of the protocol, Prof. Hisham Al-Hariri, former Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Eng. Awad Desouky, Director General of the Faculty, and in coordination with Prof. Najlaa Obeid, Director of New Programs, Dr. Ne'ma Qutb, UMS Unit Coordinator, Dr. Hiba Nour El-Din Mohamed, Student Activities Coordinator, Dr. Samah Hashem, Graduation Project Coordinator, and a group of faculty staff and assistants.
