International Accreditation (ABET) of the Department of Information Systems at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences
The Department of Information Systems at the Faculty of Computers and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, has obtained the international accreditation of software (ABET) for a period of six years, which is the maximum period granted for international accreditation, this is under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Walaa Khaled bin Al-Waleed, Head of the Department of Information Systems, and the work team, including: Dr. Wedad Hussein, Dr. Nevin Atef, Dr. Shaimaa Abu Alian, Dr.  Iman Amin
 
The Information Systems Department at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences is the first of its kind, as it is the first Faculty of Computer and Information  Sciences at public universities to obtain international accreditation for its programs
 
The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredits post-secondary education programs in “applied sciences, computing, engineering, and technology.”[1][2][3][3][4] Accreditation of these programs occurs mainly in the United States, and also globally
