In continuation of Ain Shams University's enlightened vision and its constant keenness to increase awareness and raise the national sense among students and raise the cultural and scientific level of students, Abu Qir City in Alexandria continues to host the Ain Shams University Student Leadership Preparation Camp in the Youth City organized by the Students for Egypt Family and the Ain Shams University Student Union, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University.
The Student Leadership Preparation Camps will be held in the Youth City in Abu Qir, Alexandria, affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, during the period from August 14 to 30, 2024, under the leadership of Prof. Ahmed Dehoum, leader of the Students for Egypt Family at the university, and under the general supervision of Prof. Sameh Awadallah, Professor of Media at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood and Activities Coordinator for the Students for Egypt Family, and under the executive supervision of Ms. Asmaa Khater, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Care and Mr. Reyad Al-Awam, Director of the Families and Student Unions Department, and in the presence of Dr. Mai Zayed, a leader of Students for Egypt at the Faculty of Mass Communication, gave a lecture to students on "Voice Presentation Skills".
At the beginning of the opening session, Prof. Sameh Awadallah, General Supervisor of the Camps and Coordinator of Activities for the Students for Egypt Family, thanked Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, for his unlimited sponsorship and support for Students for Egypt in all activities. He also thanked the education sector and students for providing all the necessary capabilities and overcoming all difficulties to hold the student leadership preparation camps at the highest level. He added that the policy of the Students for Egypt Family is continuous development, for the student's role to become more effective, and to rely on distinguished students in activities in training, to become closer to the thinking and needs of his fellow students.
Prof. Reyad Al-Awam, Director of the Student Families and Unions Department, explained the importance and role of student leadership preparation camps in raising students' awareness and understanding of the importance of positive participation in student activities and qualifying them to serve their faculty, the university and society in the best possible way and qualifying them for the labor market after graduation.
Commander Ahmed Atef, Head of Training and Development and the owner of the idea of the Leadership Academy at Ain Shams University this year, concluded that the student leadership preparation programs this year aim to develop many different personal skills such as (leadership - effective communication - presentation - time management - teamwork - strategic planning - creative thinking - problem solving methods - goal setting), continuous field training in addition to practicing many sports activities and yoga and meditation exercises, which contribute to enhancing physical and psychological health, and releasing students' energies in a positive way, leading to building an aware and educated generation capable of facing the challenges of the future.
