The President of Ain Shams University announces the winning team of the Faculty of Engineering in the competition to redesign the university logo

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, announced the winning team in the competition to redesign the university logo to reflect the spirit of the university and its future vision, in the presence of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Organized and attended by Prof. Mohamed Saleh, Head of the Urban Planning Department, Prof. Hazem El Daly, Head of the Architecture Department, and Engineer Iman El Meligy.

Last January, the university launched a competition among students of the faculties of Engineering to redesign the university logo. 21 teams participated in the competition, including 81 students from the architecture and planning departments and its specialized programs. Seven teams qualified for the next stage, with three teams reaching the final stage. The team that won first place was announced, which included student Mohamed Raafat Sorour and student Mirhan Yasser Mohamed from the fourth year in the architecture department.

         
   
         

In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen expressed his happiness at the start of the new academic year, with the announcement of the results of the competition to choose a new logo designed by the university students, which reflects the university's confidence in its possession of qualified cadres of students and faculty staff, capable of creativity and effective contribution in various fields.

The university president added that the winning team will leave a lasting mark that expresses the university's vision, directing his thanks to the participating teams. He also expressed his great admiration for the high level of the submitted designs, which posed a great challenge for the jury in choosing the winner.

For her part, Prof. Ghada Farouk stressed her great pride in the university students, praising the winning logo that the students designed with their own hands. She also commended the students’ interest in participating in the competition, stressing that this interaction reflects the spirit of creativity and belonging among the university students.

     
 
     

Prof. Omar Al-Hussaini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the university administration for providing the opportunity for the faculty students to participate in these competitions. He stressed that the faculty students excel in various fields, pointing out the faculty’s keenness to support students’ participation in local and international competitions to enhance their skills and develop their capabilities.
