Ain Shams University organizes a training program to qualify university dormitory employees to provide psychological support to students

As part of the keenness of the Education and Students Sector at Ain Shams University to develop the skills of employees in the university dormitories sector and enhance their competencies, the training program activities for employees in the supervision department in the university dormitories (male and female students) and external branches, in addition to employees in the psychological counseling units, were launched on Sunday, September 22.

The program was organized in cooperation with the Psychological Support Team at Ain Shams University Hospitals, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and under the technical and scientific supervision of Prof. Hesham Rami, and the general supervision and administrative coordination of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Students Sector.

         
   
         

The training program activities will continue until Thursday, September 26, starting at 9:00 AM in the conference hall of the main building of the university dormitory for students. The program aims to train employees in university dormitories on how to detect psychological conditions that students may suffer from due to the pressures of studying.

The program was divided into two batches. The first batch includes supervisors of the main university campus and external branches from Sunday to Tuesday. The training and lectures are provided by Dr. Mayar Nawara, a psychiatric consultant at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Omar Gamal, a psychiatric consultant at the university, to qualify the cadres supervising the students to provide the necessary psychological support to male and female students.

The second batch will be on Wednesday and Thursday and includes university dormitory employees – male students.
