The nomination opens for the King Faisal Prize 2026 in its 48th round

The General Secretariat of the King Faisal Prize has announced the opening of nominations for its 48th session in 2026, one of the most prestigious global awards. The Secretary-General of the Prize indicated that nominations are accepted from universities, institutions, organizations, and scientific centers.

The Prize Committees for this session have set the topics for the different categories of the award as follows:

Islamic Studies Prize: The theme is "Trade Routes in the Islamic World."

Arabic Language and Literature Prize: The theme is "Arabic Literature in French."

Medicine Prize: The theme is "Significant Discoveries in Obesity Treatments."

Science Prize: The theme is "Mathematics."

As for the Service to Islam Prize, it is an honorary award given to individuals who have made pioneering contributions to the service of Islam and Muslims, whether intellectually, scientifically, or socially, through various works, activities, programs, and projects that have a significant impact on the Muslim community.

The Secretary-General of the Prize reiterated that nominations are accepted from universities, institutions, organizations, and scientific centers. The deadline for receiving nominations is March 31, 2025.
