Vice President of Ain Shams University receives a delegation from the University of Exeter to discuss ways of joint cooperation

Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs at Ain Shams University, and Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, received a delegation from the University of Exeter, UK, which included Dr. Richard Follett, Vice President for International Affairs, and Dr. Peter Clack, Director of Global Exeter, to discuss ways of joint cooperation and discuss possible cooperation opportunities with Ain Shams International University in the New Administrative Capital, and launch dual study programs that contribute to strengthening academic ties and expanding the university’s international cooperation horizons.

         
   
         

The meeting was attended by Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, Prof. Akram Farouk, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Nasser Eid, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Kamal Obeid, Director of the International Relations Department, and Ms. Shaimaa El-Banna, Education Officer at the British Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Ghada Farouk welcomed the delegation, stressing Ain Shams University's keenness to enhance international cooperation and build strategic partnerships in the field of higher education and scientific research with prestigious international bodies and universities such as the University of Exeter, in a way that serves the development of higher education in Egypt.

The Vice President of the University explained that areas of cooperation are open with the University of Exeter in the fields of engineering, medicine, humanities, and others.

During the meeting, she shed light on Ain Shams International Private University, which will be established according to the latest international systems and will include new programs that were selected after conducting a study of the needs and requirements of the labor market, in line with the Egyptian state plan.

The Vice President of the University also discussed the dual degrees granted by Ain Shams University, and its strong international relations with major prestigious institutions and universities.

For his part, the delegation from the University of Exeter expressed its aspiration to cooperate with Ain Shams University, especially with Ain Shams International Private University, praising the progress achieved by the university in various academic and research fields.

The meeting comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's strategy to enhance international cooperation and expand the horizons of cooperation with major international universities.
