The female student dormitory at Ain Shams University conducted a successful evacuation drill for the dormitory buildings in coordination with the university's Civil Defense Department. The drill was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of the Education and Student Affairs Sector. The evacuation process took about three minutes, during which the evacuation team ensured that there were no obstacles in the designated escape routes and emergency staircases. Then, the alarm sirens were sounded to prepare for a full evacuation of the buildings. The evacuation team entered to guide the occupants of the building to the emergency stairs, advising them not to rush, and directing them to the safe zones (assembly points) that were predetermined. The team also ensured that the buildings were completely evacuated.
