A delegation from Ain Shams University visits the Veterans Association

A delegation from Ain Shams University visited the Veterans and War Victims Association, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The delegation included Prof. Howayda El-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, as head of the delegation, Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Media, and Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in addition to a number of college deans for community service and environmental development affairs. The delegation was received by Major General Staff Medhat Abdel Aziz Fawy, Director of the Veterans Association, who welcomed the delegation from Ain Shams University. His Excellency explained the importance of the association, which is considered one of the first associations in the world and was established in 1951 to care for war casualties. He also reviewed the services and activities provided by the association to the families of martyrs and war casualties.

         
   
         
         
   
         

Prof. Howayda El-Gebali expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to Major General Staff, Director of the Association, to all the attendees, and to the Veterans and War Victims Association, as one of the oldest international associations that has taken it upon itself since its establishment to provide care in various forms to veterans, families of martyrs, and those injured in war operations, believing in what they have offered to this country and what they have done to preserve its sanctities.

She also expressed the pride of Ain Shams University, with all its leadership, in our armed forces, and the heroism and sacrifices offered by its men, as the heroic acts of those injured in war operations represent a source of pride and a continuous national epic presented by the armed forces generation after generation.

She also congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the celebrations of the 51st anniversary of the glorious October victory, and called for the necessity of publishing the heroism of the Egyptian army to introduce it to the younger generations in light of the many challenges and information wars that we are currently experiencing.

Her Excellency also praised the great services provided to the people of the country by the delegation during its visit, stressing that Ain Shams University is fully prepared to cooperate with the association.

The two sides exchanged commemorative shields, and Major General Staff of the Association Director accompanied the university delegation on an inspection tour to visit the association's kidney dialysis center, the physiotherapy center, and the prosthetic devices and mobility aids factory.
